City of Valdosta Reminds Contractors of Debris Removal Requirements

The City of Valdosta reminds all residents and contractors, including tree surgeons, of their responsibilities under City Ordinance 82-33 regarding the removal of trees, large bushes, and shrubbery debris.

Contractors performing work within city limits are required to properly dispose of any debris generated from their work. This responsibility extends to all individuals engaged in trimming and cutting within the city. Under no circumstances should such debris be placed by the right-of-way for city collection, as it is the contractors' duty to ensure proper disposal.

The City emphasizes that adherence to this ordinance is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of our community. Failure to comply with these regulations may result in penalties.
