City Breaks Ground on S. Troup Street

Citizens are invited to celebrate the ground breaking of the S. Troup Street Enhancement Project, on Friday, April 15, at 10 a.m., on the Coastal Plains property located at 900 S. Troup Street. The project, which will run from Griffin Avenue to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, will include pedestrian, street, stormwater and utility improvements in one of Valdosta's oldest neighborhoods.

Funded by SPLOST VII, the project will positively impact the quality of life within the neighborhood through the construction of new sidewalks on the eastside of the street, crosswalks, curb and gutter, bicycle lanes on both sides of the street, underground storm sewer and drainage inlets, new driveway aprons, and new water/sewer service connections.

In the event of inclement weather, this event will be held on Monday, April 18, at 10 a.m.
