Commercial Sanitation Services

Note: Beginning August 1, 2019, commercial sanitation customers will see an adjustment in their sanitation rates. It has been 3 years since the last market rate adjustment. The commercial rate adjustments reflect the increase in materials and operational costs required to facilitate our commercial bins. The current rates for customers that are utilizing our commercial dumpsters will be adjusted an additional $1.50 per cubic yard for each service, which remains substantially below our competitors.  Small business customers will see an increase of $4.00 per month.

Commercial Solid Waste Collection

The City of Valdosta provides municipal garbage collection for commercial businesses in the community with quality, efficient service. Service is available six days a week, and you choose your scheduled pickup day: daily, weekly or monthly.  Solid waste containers can be  leased monthly. Commercial solid waste is not collected on Christmas or New Year's Day.

Monthly fees are based on:

• Size of containers (4, 6 or 8 yards)
• Quantity of containers
• Frequency of service

Small Commercial Business

The city can also service small commercial business needs by providing a 96-gallon roll-out container at your location with one or two pickups per week.

Roll-Off Container Systems

Temporary and affordable roll-off container service can also be provided at your residence or place of business for construction debris and other types of business or residential non-hazardous waste removal. Roll-off containers are large, open containers used for projects such as home remodels, cleanups, construction projects, and for jobs that accumulate substantial tree and shrubbery debris. The city offers roll-off containers in 15, 20, 30 or 40 yards.
