VPD Graduates class from 27th Citizens Police Academy
Congratulations to the Valdosta citizens who, after many weeks of behind-the-scenes training with the Valdosta Police Department (VPD), graduated from the 27th Citizens Police Academy on June 14. Chief of Police Brian Childress presented each graduate with a certificate and a police department bag. The program, which is offered in the spring and the fall, is designed to educate citizens and the business community about the services provided by the VPD and to establish a community partnership. The next CPA will start in September 2018. Interested citizens should contact Capt. Kari Williams at 229-293-3099 for an application.
