VFD Responds to Structure Fire
On Tuesday, December 19, at 12:34 A.M., the Valdosta Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire at 1716 South Patterson Street, Unit 16. The first fire unit arrived in under 4 minutes to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the apartment building. Fire crews quickly brought the fire under control with no injuries reported. There was no one inside the apartment building unit at the time of the incident. All occupants safely escaped the building prior to fire department arrival. Fifteen occupants were displaced and were assisted by the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
