Valdosta Announces Thanksgiving Sanitation Schedule

The City of Valdosta will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. However, as always, Valdosta sanitation crews will be out collecting from their regular routes.

Please note that the Sanitation Division will collect residential garbage only on Thanksgiving Day. Citizens should place their green rollouts at the curbside by 5 a.m. on Thursday Nov. 24 to ensure their garbage is collected. Recyclables and yard waste for Thursday and Friday routes will be collected on Friday, Nov. 25.
