New Marshal Sworn-in to Serve Our Community
The Community Protection Division proudly announces the Swear-in ceremony of Roy Finniessee as Marshal for the City of Valdosta. Judge Baker officially swore in Marshal Finniessee at the Municipal Court on Monday, October 23, 2023, and it was an event filled with pride, commitment, and the promise of unwavering service to our community.
Marshal Finniessee has been employed with the City of Valdosta for 16 years. He began his career in public works and has now transitioned to Community Protection. As Marshal Finniessee takes on his new responsibilities, our community can be confident that they are in capable hands. He has shown an exemplary ability to handle diverse situations and uphold the values of integrity that our community holds dear. We are confident he will excel in his role, ensuring our residents' safety and proactive living and upholding the compliance codes with the utmost professionalism.
