Jerry Jones/Eager Road Project Staking Begins June 15

On Monday, June 15, The Georgia Department of Transportation will begin adding project stakes to the approved right of way area on Jerry Jones Drive and Eager Road. The stakes are one of the first phases of the Jerry Jones/Eager Road Widening Project. It is important for residents in this area to know that construction on the project is not expected to start until spring of 2022. The stakes are being put in as a visual for property owners to visualize the easements and improvements during the right of way negotiation process.

The proposed project runs from Baytree Road to North Oak Street. The project will add a 12-foot two-way turn lane to Jerry Jones Drive and Eager Road. It will also provide for curb and gutter, and sidewalk along the entire corridor. Drainage structures would also be installed to eliminate ditches.
