City Observes LEAD

Several dozen attended the National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (LEAD), on Jan. 9, at the Valdosta Police Department, where Mayor Gayle presented a proclamation declaring it "Law Enforcement Appreciation Day" in Valdosta.

"Being an officer of the law is not just a job, it's a calling.," said Chief of Police Brian Childress. "As a community, let's continue to show the men and women on the front lines that we appreciate the work they do on our behalf."
