City Hot Spot:
Locations: W. Mary St., West St., W. Adair St., Monroe St., Peeples St., W. Gordon St., Nicholas Dr., Lilly St., Corbett St., Lamar St.
- Right-of-Way Division collected 29 bags of litter and 13 tires.
- 1 ton of residential yard trash and junk was collected.
- Arbor Division inspected all trees and trimmed 87.
- Stormwater Division inspected 41 catch basins, cleaned 4 catch basins, inspected 7,625 ft of storm pipe, and swept 21 miles.
Adopt-a-Road Program:
- 54 participants collected 24 bags of litter, covering 6.3 miles
Monthly Hot Spot Road Cleanup:
Location: North Ashley Street - (from The Wharf Seafood to Woodrow Wilson Drive)
- Collected 2 bags of litter
- Covered 1 mile
- Time Spent: 2 ½ hours
- Participants: 3
We have placed a roll-off container at Public Works to capture the weight of collected litter from the right-of-ways, ditches, and holding ponds. This month's weight is 1.66 tons.
