The Valdosta Police Department hosted an awards ceremony on Feb. 9 to honor several service awards and accomplishments. The following is a list of the personnel honored at the ceremony:
10 Years of Dedicated Service:
- Sergeant Travis Phinney, Power Squad
15 Years of Dedicated Service:
- Shelia Mitchell, Parking Enforcement
- Officer June Gartman, SRO at Sallas Mahone Elementary School
- Jill Chammoun, Evidence Custodian
20 years Dedicated Service:
- Detective Calvin Burgess, Detective in the Property Crimes Unit
- IT Analyst Ean Oliveto
- Lieutenant Tom Wheeler, Patrol Shift.
