The Valdosta Police Department hosted an awards ceremony on Feb. 9 to honor several service awards and accomplishments. The following is a list of the personnel honored at the ceremony:

10 Years of Dedicated Service:

  • Sergeant Travis Phinney, Power Squad

15 Years of Dedicated Service:

  • Shelia Mitchell, Parking Enforcement
  • Officer June Gartman, SRO at Sallas Mahone Elementary School
  • Jill Chammoun, Evidence Custodian

20 years Dedicated Service:

  • Detective Calvin Burgess, Detective in the Property Crimes Unit
  • IT Analyst Ean Oliveto
  • Lieutenant Tom Wheeler, Patrol Shift.
