Valdosta Main Street Adopt-A-Bench Program

Valdosta Main Street is pleased to announce the re-launch of the Adopt-A-Bench Program, offering community members a unique opportunity to commemorate or honor family, and friends, by adopting a bench in Downtown Valdosta.

The Adopt-A-Bench Program is designed to enhance public enjoyment of the downtown area while supporting the maintenance and beautification of our community spaces. By endowing a bench for $1,250, participants can create a lasting tribute to a loved one. Each adopted bench will feature a personalized plaque, acknowledging the donor's contribution and dedication.

"It is exciting to have this program available to share with our community," said Kym Hughes, Main Street Manager. "The Adopt-A-Bench Program not only allows individuals to honor their loved ones in a meaningful way, but it also helps us maintain and enhance the curb appeal of Downtown Valdosta, creating a welcoming and relaxing sense of place for the people that are walking around in the heart of our beautiful city."

Plaques require a couple of weeks for production and installation. However, upon adoption, a personalized certificate will be provided to notify the recipient of the honor. This thoughtful gesture ensures that the recognition can be celebrated in conjunction with the plaque installation.

Valdosta Main Street will acknowledge each $1,250 donation with a personalized plaque on the available bench of your choice. Full payment must be received to reserve a bench, and donations can be made via check. Please note that not all benches without plaques are available for adoption and the supply of available benches is limited.
