City of Valdosta Issues February 24 COVID-19 Update on Services and Facilities
The health and safety of our community is always a top priority for the City of Valdosta. City leadership and staff are working diligently every day to make sure that we are doing all we can to keep you – our Valdosta residents and businesses – safe, healthy, and informed as we try to minimize the impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in our community.
Update on City Facilities
All city facilities will reopen to the public on Monday, March 1, 2021. This includes Municipal Court, City Hall, Utilities, Public Works and the City Hall Annex. Consistent with guidance on limiting the spread of COVID-19 through social distancing, we ask you to please communicate with our staff over the telephone and internet whenever possible. Visit the City’s website at valdostacity.com for information on services, forms, or other items you need. Staff email addresses are also available online to conduct business via email.
Utility Bills
Customers may pay their utility bills at the Customer Service office, drive thru, online, pay by phone, or utilize the drive up drop box in the parking lot across from City Hall.
Customer Service representatives will be available to assist customers with services such as Sign-ups, Disconnects, Business Licenses, etc.

Sanitation Services
Recycling services will continue utilizing ONLY the drop site locations. Curbside recycling pickup is still suspended.
Recyclables can be placed at one of the following drop sites:
- City Lot at the Corner of S Lee St. and E Savannah Ave.
- Five-Points Shopping Center
- City lot on Hill Avenue (1025 W Hill Ave)
